On Sunday, June 25th, 15 S&L Employees participated in the Fourth Annual CASA Superhero 5k in Overland Park, KS. The event raised funds for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children. CASA recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to empower abused children and give them a chance for a brighter future.
"Smith & Loveless has been a corporate supporter of Johnson and Wyandotte County CASA for more than 17 years," said Lanette Wickham, Corporate Legal Council. "We feel it is important to provide financial support to an organization that provides such needed services to our community."
Each S&L employee paid a $5 entry fee, which was then donated to CASA.
"On top of supporting a local organization, several coworkers had joined after motivating each other to participate the cause," said Fred DelToro, After Market Sales Engineer. "I have participated on several other runs S&L has participated and I look forward in doing several more along side with S&L."
