LENEXA (Kan.) – Smith & Loveless Inc. is proud to announce the release of three new project profiles (in Spanish), highlighting installations across México. These installations feature unique applications of innovative PISTA® grit removal system technology:
In Pachuca, Hidalgo, a complete packaged headworks system was added as part of the municipality wastewater treatment plant upgrade. The pre-engineered PISTA®Works™ is fully automated with a PLC-based control system and equipped with an integrated screening system for solids retention. This project marked a before and after in the way cities manage their water resources. (Bulletin no. 9302-1)
A complete PISTA® 270™ grit removal system was installed for the Los Laureles 1 Pump Station in Tijuana, Baja California, featuring the Model PISTA® 270™. Thanks to the installation of the high-efficiency unit, it is now possible to capture particles of varying microns, which takes a firm step towards a more reliable, efficient, and sustainable collection system for water management. (Bulletin no. 9303-5)
Finally, in Monterrey, Nuevo Léon, a complete large-flow PISTA® 270™ grit removal system with complete grit handling components was installed at the Dolce Nombre WWTP. With the addition of the PISTA® 270™ it is now possible to capture and dewater incoming grit, optimizing plant performance and protecting the downstream plant. (Bulletin No. 9303-4)
Smith & Loveless’ strong reputation in headworks centers on the PISTA® Grit Removal System product line development as demonstrated in different ways in México. S&L stands as the water industry’s most-specified grit removal system today from new equipment to complete retrofit solutions.
