Plant Expansion incorporates innovative packaged PISTA®Works™ headworks system
As one the decade’s fastest growing cities in all of Texas, the burgeoning City of Celina, experienced rapid growth, including greater than 26 percent in a single year. This led to the expansion of the city’s Legacy Hills Wastewater Treatment Plant, including an innovative, pre-engineered headworks facility that was prefabricated and shipped directly to the plant site for immediate installation and piping. The packaged headworks incorporates both fine screening and advanced grit removal/ dewatering in a single, pre-wired system by Smith & Loveless Inc. This project profile highlights the many benefits for the project design engineers and the municipality’s operations staff.
