LENEXA (Kan.) – Smith & Loveless Inc., the global leader in advanced grit removal technologies, announces the release of a new project bulletin highlighting a PISTA® VIO™ grit removal system installation in LeRoy, New York.
The Village of LeRoy’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) has been serving its New York Community since the 1920s. However, years of service caused the plant’s staff to re-evaluate various aspects related to operations and investigate top industry products for solutions.
The plant worked alongside JM Davidson Engineering to complete a one-year reconstruction on various components, which included the addition the Smith & Loveless PISTA® VIO™ grit removal system.
With the inclusion of the PISTA® VIO™, the LeRoy WWTP now achieves grit removal performance of 95 percent grit removal efficiency down to 100-micron particles across all flows and through the entire system.
