New Case Study Bulletin Highlights PISTA®Works™ Installation at WWTP Serving Rapidly Growing Texas City
LENEXA (Kan.) – Smith & Loveless Inc., the global leader in advanced grit removal system technologies, announces a new case study project profile of the PISTA®Works™, bulletin number 9103-16.
The new case study highlights how one of the fastest-growing municipalities in Texas, located north of Dallas, was able to rapidly upgrade and protect their wastewater treatment plant with the pre-engineered PISTA®Works™, which combines fine screening and grit removal/dewatering all in one packaged skid. The fully configured system, which delivered ready to be connected on a platform adjacent to the plant’s new SBR, contains redundant 6 mm fine screens with manual bypass and achieves consistent 95 percent grit removal efficiency down to 100-micron particles.
The case study also shares several tangible benefits provided by the PISTA®Works™ to consulting engineers during the design phase of the project – including all the OSHA-safety considerations pre-designed into the system – and for the municipality capital cost-savings and ease of O&M.
